Along the Fence

The project was created as part of the ‘Walking Art Workshop’, an educational programme held regularly at Die Macherei, the creative centre of Johannesstift Diakonie, Proclusio GmbH, in Berlin. The programme is designed for people with physical and cognitive disabilities. The walk was completed by a group of four.

One of the four participants leads the group along their usual daily route. Due to his impaired short-term memory and his poor vision in his right eye, he walks anti-clockwise along the fence of the Johannesstift grounds. This enables him to see the fence with his left eye and find his way back to the starting point.
